Living Hope
Discouragement, despair, hopelessness, sadness...
These words—antonyms of hope—seem to be increasingly present in our society. In times of uncertainty and challenge, it’s easy to ask: Is there still room for hope? Is it possible to find happiness despite the difficulties and chaos around us?
The Royal Spanish Academy defines hope as: “A state of mind that arises when what is desired seems attainable.” But beyond definitions, hope is a driving force, a power that pushes us forward—even in the darkest of moments.

The documentary
We want to show that yes, there is still room for hope. We want to inspire you to believe that no matter the circumstances, happiness is still possible. Because as long as there is a dream to pursue, something to believe in, and a reason to keep going, hope will always have a place in our lives.
Through the testimonies of different people, we will journey along the path to hope. They will share how, through their own experiences, it is possible to discover and live with hope. Some of them perhaps never knew hope or lost it at some point—but today they live with it and share it daily, whether through their work or their way of life.
Heirs of a Living Hope
Living Hope comes from the First Letter of Peter:
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, into an inheritance that can never perish..."

Stories
Is there hope in poverty and hunger?
A businessman who found his true calling by bringing food and dignity to the residents of Madrid’s poorest neighborhoods will try to answer this question.
Is there hope in death?
A psychologist at a palliative care hospital who accompanies terminally ill patients to die with hope will also help us explore this.
Is there hope for a youth that seems lost and disoriented amidst the flood of information and distractions on social media?
A group of young people who have found meaning in their lives through faith will also invite us to reflect on this question.
We will also meet a rap singer who once used writing as an escape during her adolescence—and now uses her music as a way to proclaim the love of God.

Living Hope: A Project Born from the Heart
"We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."
(Acts of the Apostles 4:20)
This verse has been a major source of inspiration and motivation behind the birth of this project.
The idea for Living Hope didn’t come overnight. It was the fruit of months of deep reflection, prayer, and meditation. In a world overwhelmed by bad news—where fear and uncertainty seem to be our daily bread—we felt a deep and urgent calling in our hearts: to do something different. To create something that not only informs, but heals. Something that not only shows reality, but lights a spark in the midst of so much darkness.
During this time of discernment, we asked ourselves over and over again: How can we share true, authentic hope? How can we become bearers of life in the midst of so much pain? The answers didn’t come all at once, but with time and patience, God planted a clear vision in our hearts: to tell real stories, of real people, who—amidst their struggles—have discovered a strength capable of transforming suffering into faith, sadness into joy, despair into life.
Living Hope is more than a documentary; it is an act of faith. It is a response to a call—to build bridges where others see walls, to sow seeds of love where others see only barren ground. Every image, every testimony, every word reflected in this project was created with one purpose in mind: to remind us that, no matter what happens, there is still hope.
Thank you for being part of this dream.
Thank you for allowing us to share with you this light we believe the world needs now more than ever.

The team
I’m Marcel Montealegre, and this project was born from a deep longing.
For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my life to the audiovisual world, working on all kinds of productions—especially for television networks. But among all formats, the documentary has always been my true home: a space where stories come alive and the human soul reveals itself in its purest form.
Today, I choose to embark on this journey because now more than ever, I feel the need to tell stories that spark hope—stories that remind us of the beauty that still exists in the world.
To do this, I’ll be joined by a team of talented professionals who share the same passion for doing things with excellence, quality, and heart.
Above all, what drives us is the desire to plant light in the midst of the noise—to offer meaningful content rooted in values, in a time when we are surrounded by so much empty and negative news.
We want to be a small beacon in the middle of the storm.
